The Person Behind the Lens
After leaving the Royal Navy, I chose to pursue something I'd always pushed to the side — creating.I'd always had a strong imagination and a pull toward storytelling, but it wasn't until I picked up a camera and started experimenting that it clicked. What began with a simple coffee video quickly turned into something more — a craft I could fully invest in.Cinematography gave me exactly what I was looking for: a balance of creativity, structure, and precision. Every project is a mix of vision and execution — building something that not only looks good, but feels intentional.
I work with gyms, clothing brands, restaurants, and businesses that have something real to show, but not always the content to show it. My approach is always collaborative and focused on making the final product feel authentic to who you are.
I don't claim to be the best. What I bring is focus, attention to detail, and a constant drive to improve. If there's a clear vision, I'll find a way to bring it to life.

I’m Jordan, a videographer and former Royal Navy sailor. After 12 years serving in the Royal Navy, working on and around the water has been a major part of my life.Through JL Films, I create cinematic video, drone and social media content for businesses and experiences. My goal is to build a specialist portfolio within the maritime, tourism and adventure sectors, combining my experience around the water with visual storytelling that captures movement, atmosphere and the experience of being there.
